Understanding Australian Slang

Many of you would have learned English from a textbook or from taking English classes. This means you would have learned perfect English grammar and can understand complicated and frustrating things such as pluperfect, present perfect or future continuous tenses. However, one question we would like to ask you is:
Picture: Buzzfeed

What does that mean?

If you understand what that means then you are amazingly well prepared for your journey to Australia. You will do exceedingly well over here. If you did not understand, that is perfectly normal. You will belong with the 90% other international students who will become confused and entertained by Australian slang during your stay. But that is definitely not a bad thing, it is one of the most enjoyable parts of living in a new place – it’s a part of learning culture!

Below is a small list of the things you will hear and will most likely not understand :)
